The Executive Committee is elected annually by Individual Members and is tasked with implementing the democratic will of Individual Members and the Legislative Assembly.

Justin Patrick

Justin currently pursues a PhD at the University of Toronto in Canada. His research focuses on the politics and history of student government. He holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Toronto and a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the University of Ottawa.
His past experience includes various roles as a public servant for the Government of Canada, as well as over a decade of student activism and advocacy. Most recently, he served as President of the International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS) from 2020-2022 and IAPSS Secretary General from 2019-2020. He has also contributed to policy development and capacity building in multiple Canadian student unions from campus to national levels, as well as anti-corruption activism in student government and education.
As the first President of the GSG, his priorities include ensuring that the organization is built on a sound and lasting foundation so all students and student governments now and in the future can be a part of the GSG and benefit from the services it provides.

Dhanela Sivaparan

Zlatan is a physics student at the University of Belgrade, Serbia. His research interests are mostly interdisciplinary, such as biophysics and astrobiology. Besides science, he also likes old movies, music, journalism and politics. The last brings him to the world of international student organizations, as Zlatan is on the executive committees of International Association of Physics Students (IAPS) and Global Student Government (GSG).

Oleksii Zahreba

Oleksii is currently studying for the Master's degree of political science, international and public affairs at the Université de Montréal. He also works at the International Political Science Association. Oleksii learned about Global Student Government though his work at the International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS) which he originally joined in 2019 in the position of Speakers Coordinator Assistant on the team organizing the World Congress in Vienna. After the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Oleksii ran for an election for the chair of the USA and Canada chapter of IAPSS. He served as a chair of the USA and Canada region for the 2020/21 mandate. He was later elected to the position of the IAPSS Secretary-General, in which he continues to serve the global student political science community today. In the past, Oleksii organized international Model United Nations conferences and served on the executive committee of the International Studies Club at his university.

Dimitris Gkavakos

Kristina Almazidou is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) candidate from Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece. She has been involved with international student and non-student organizations for many years in which she has served in many different positions. Kristina is a co-author of a global study "Mental Health Impact of Covid-19," which has been published in Frontiers in Psychiatry. She is currently the president of International Student One Health Alliance (ISOHA), Member of the management team of Informal Forum for International Student Organisations(IFISO) and founder of Indigenous Home. She is passionate about One Health, Wildlife, Global Affairs and Animal Welfare.
